Legal Training on Juvenile Justice Held in Lahore


A two-day workshop focusing on Juvenile Justice Law was recently conducted at the Lexus Grand Hotel, Edgerton Road, Lahore. The event was a collaborative effort by Legal Awareness Watch, Marvi Rural Development, and The Miracle & Hope Foundation.

 

The workshop saw participation from prominent lawyers such as Kashif Alexander, Chairman of The Miracle Hope Foundation, Nadia Hameed, a member of the Juvenile Justice Committee at Lahore Bar Association, Sadaf Yaqub, and Sumble Munir Khokhar, both advocates of the High Court. Additionally, officials from the Probation Office, Child Protection Department, and the Punjab Police Department were in attendance.

 

Government representatives provided insights into the execution of juvenile law and addressed issues related to child abuse. They also highlighted challenges faced during the law's implementation and its practical implications. Attendees actively engaged in discussions, emphasizing the significance of juvenile laws and their proper enforcement. The organizers were commended for facilitating such an informative session. At the workshop's conclusion, participants were presented with certificates of completion.
