Christian woman kidnapped from Narang District Sheikhupura

Hina Mukhtar, 22, was kidnapped by a Muslim man who was helping her family with regard to the issuing of government pension of her deceased father.  Hina’s mother, Abida Mukhtar lives in Ucha Pind Narang District Sheikhupura, told Pak Christian News (PCN) that on 18th February when she was away from home Nisar Jogi kidnapped her daughter Hina.

According to her when she came home her elder daughter Hina was missing. Eventually, her neighbours Javed Masih and Ashraf Masih told her that Nisar Jogi had kidnapped Hina in a white van. They said there were three people and Nisar was forcefully pushing Hina while the other two were sitting in the van.

Abida told us she is a widow and has six children - 4 daughters and 2 sons. Hina is the oldest. She said her husband Mukhtar was a retired army personnel. Jogi, a Muslim neighbour was helping transfer her husband’s pension to her name, and said that he was working in the Nadra Office, and knew people and he could get this work done quickly.

She said her husband died two years ago due to a heart attack, and she asked Jogi to help her, but she did not know she would have to pay such a heavy price in return for his help.

Abida said the police station in Narang District Sheikhupura registered a case against Jogi and his companions on 22 February, under section 365B but the police have neither recovered her daughter nor arrested the kidnappers.
