Participatory Welfare Services hosts interfaith harmony dialogue


The Participatory Welfare Services (PWS) hosted an interfaith harmony dialogue in collaboration with the social welfare department.

The event was organised to coincide with interfaith harmony week at the start of February with the aim of promoting the message of love and harmony amongst different religious communities.
During the dialogue, people were able to hear from each other about the role everyone can play in enhancing the inclusion of minorities in their communities.

Ahsan Khan, the event organiser set out that the Pakistani constitution protects the rights of religious minorities and people of all faiths should promote the message of peace and harmony to their respective communities.

Reverend Father Yousaf George said interfaith harmony means bringing peace and equality. 
While Azhar Abbas Adil, Deputy Director of Social Welfare, said the government is taking serious steps to promote peace among all communities.
