Pakistan: Woman kills her husband and two daughters


A Pakistani woman has killed her husband and two daughters before trying to take her own life.

Sameera Faryad, was living in the Cantt area of Quetta with her husband Irfan Masih and two young daughters. 

After the killings on January 20, she tried to kill herself by leaving the gas on, but because of timely interference by the police - who were informed by the relatives, she was saved and has been taken to MC hospital for treatment.

The dead bodies were shifted to BMC Hospital, where post mortem examinations were carried out. 

According to police surgeon Ali Marden, who conducted the autopsies, Irfan and his two daughters aged four and six were injected with anaesthesia before having their throats slit and dying from excessive bleeding.

The police have placed Sameera under arrest and have launched an investigation into the incident.
